"Humor, Holy Conversation, Prayer," sculpture by Rosanne Keller created at the Institute's conference, "Ecumenism Among Us," June 1994In 1994 the Institute convened a four-day conference, "Ecumenism Among Us," that brought to Collegeville more than 200 persons, ranging in age from 17 to 87, and from 41 traditions. Rosanne Keller created a sculpture that captures the spirit of the conference. The figures are Humor ("We need to laugh more"), Holy Conversation ("We need to talk and listen to each other"), and Prayer ("Most of all we need to pray, together and in solitude"). "These figures are fashioned after composites of people I met at the conference. The statues are set on paisley bases of respect, appreciation, and honor. Since the whole is greater than the sum of the parts it's made of, these three lone figures make individual parts of the sum of Trust, three parts of a puzzle we were at the conference to solve."
